Well, OCD or Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder … what a lovely thing.
It is characterized by (obsessions) unreasonable thoughts or fears and (compulsions) that lead you to do repetitive behaviors. OCD centers around themes such as germ phobias or never having enough of something and the fear that you might run out of it. This sets up a vicious cycle that characterizes OCD. Constant hand washing due to a germ phobia or constantly counting things are other signs. Often these tasks take up more than an hour a day. The condition is associated with tics, anxiety disorder, and a higher risk of suicide.
You call it OCD, I call it organizing.
